Still working on perfecting the cornrows (I always end up running out of hair before the end of the row….I know what the problem is, I’m taking too much hair into the braid, but I can’t seem to stop doing it), but at least this time I was able to add some interest to the direction of the rows. It was fun to do, and although she got a little fuzzy as the week ticked by, she wore this for an entire 8 days. Ah, extra time in the morning, I could get used to that!
I always think of my friend Katie when I do cornrows. She does the most awesome rows in her daughter’s hair and gave me the courage to try myself. Just after we met, she upped-sticks and moved to an island off the coast of Maine. Bummer!
